DERMAL FILLERS

Natural rejuvenation for a youthful and refreshed appearance

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are a gel like substance consisting of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in our bodies. Dermal fillers can be used to restore lost volume in the face which has occured through the natural process of ageing, giving a more youthful and rejuvenated appearence. Dermal fillers can also be used to smooth specific lines on the face, as well as adding definition, shape and contour to areas of the face for beautification.

Is the procedure painful?

Minor discomfort may be experienced. Dr Leah uses the safest techniques and measured to minimize any discomfort as much as possible. Prior to all dermal filler treatments, a strong topical numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated. The dermal fillers themselves also contains local anaesthetic to further aid comfort.

Which areas can be treated?

Lips

Cheeks

Nose (non-surgical rhinoplasty)

How long do dermal fillers last?

6-18months  Dermal fillers are not permanent. Overtime, the hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down and naturally absorbed by the body.
