What is microneedling?
Microneedling may also be termed ’skin remodelling’ or ‘collagen induction therapy’. It is a very effective and minimally invasive procedure which can be used to address a range of skin concerns.
The treatment involves creating thousands of controlled microchannels just beneath the skin's surface. This controlled injury stimulates the body’s natural wound-healing mechanisms to repair and remodel the skin tissue.

What can the SkinPen treatment be used for?

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, 3-6 SkinPen treatments, spaced four weeks apart, are recommended for optimal results, dependant upon your specifically skin concern. While microneedling can provide significant and lasting improvements to the skin, maintenance sessions will then be required to preserve the results over time.
What happens during my first Skin Pen Precision appointment?
During your first visit we will assess your suitability for the Skin Pen Precision treatment and discuss the procedure, goals, outcomes, recommended protocol and timeline for results in detail. The treatment itself first begins with a double cleanse to remove excess oils or creams from your face, followed by the application of a topical anaesthetic cream which will be left on the skin for 15-20minutes in order to make the procedure more comfortable. The numbing cream will then be removed by cleansing the skin again, and the treatment area disinfected. The microneedling treatment itself then commences, which takes around 30minutes. Following treatment, a SkinPen post procedure mask will be applied to calm and soothe the skin, followed by a specialised post-treatment healing cream (Lift HG). You will be provided with a treatment kit to take home with you, including additional SkinPen facial products to be used in the days following your treatment. Specific instructions will be given at your appointment.
